Baby Bear Quilt began with a single length of washed oatmeal linen found at the bottom of a bolt — soft, uneven, holding light the way early sun holds a room before anyone is awake.
The composition grew outward from that one fabric. Pale ochres, faded indigo, and a whisper of clay were placed and re-placed on the design wall over several weeks until the balance settled on its own. Nothing here was planned twice; the arrangement is the record of the decisions as they happened.
It belongs somewhere unhurried — above a reading chair, at the end of a hallway that catches morning light, or over the back of a bed where its texture can be seen up close.
